In the 15^th and 16^th centuries due to a great economic and population growth, Lagos became the main port of arrival and departure of vessels that explored the African coast. Prince Henry the Navigator, father of the maritime Discovers, lived in Lagos, and it as he who made this city into the port for the ships of Gil Eanes, the Algarve sailor who rounded Cape Bojador in 1434. In Lagos visit the golden Church of Saint Antony and the first slaves market of Europe, Ponta da Piedade a beautiful rock formations.

Sagres – The most southwest point of Europe (Cabo de São Vincente) and the fortress of Sagres, a place of great historical and symbolic value, this monument offers the visitors the opportunity to revisit the glorious period of the maritime Discovers and to enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.
